To curb the theft of precious metals at Anglo
Platinum, KeyMasterTM Pro access control system
was integrated with a super-sensitive walk-through
metal detector.
The Anglo Platinum group is the world's largest
producer of platinum group metals (PGMs). Its
operations comprise six mines, two smelters, a base
metals refinery, and a precious metals refinery. In
addition to platinum group metals, these operations
also produce nickel, copper, and cobalt sulphate. The
company's Rustenburg Base Metal Refinery (RBMR)
produces quality base metal products and a precious
metal concentrate for further treatment at the adjacent
Precious Metals Refinery (PMR).
