The AC-4101 compact system controller uses an integrated CS-NET network interface to connect to a PC running KeyMaster^® software. CS-NET provides high-speed peer-to-peer access to powerful on-board features, and allows the controller to be multi-dropped on a low cost UTP4 copper cable connection to other CS-NET devices.

The AC-4101 system controller has a 128kB non-volatile memory module capable of storing employee data and access transactions while operating off-line. Depending on the configuration software being used (KeyMaster Lite 3.0, or KeyMaster Pro 4.0), CS-NET, RS-232, or modem interfacing possible.

Using the EIA-485 serial interface, up to sixteen (16) access control readers can be monitored and controlled via a single twisted pair communications cable.
