AF-IPP

The insertion parallel plate pitot was originally designed to be installed in existing ductwork. It is also a cost effective solution for flow measurement in large ductwork. Use of the parallel plate pitot design minimizes the need for straightening vanes in the flow measurement. In addition, since the parallel plate pitot is a true pitot, it will operate to very low velocities, providing the proper transmitter is used.

The design of the AF-IPP resists plugging. This is due to the smooth aerodynamic shape of the device and the oversized total ports. Buildup of particulate on the leading edge, if it occurs at all, has a minimal effect on the output of the pitot.
