To program the SF1, a telephone gateway allowing remote control of a unitary controller network, American Auto-Matrix® has developed the SF1 Engineering Tools package. Windows-based, it enables the user to create and program an SF1 database off-line and to download it to a
remote SF1 via modem. Additionally, the user can upload system variables, database objects, trend and alarm information from remote SF1 area controllers; this information can then be modified for use in other Windows applications like word processors and spreadsheets.

Uses a standard Windows drag-and-drop technique to copy information from one SF1 database to another
Creates a project "library" with standard SF1 database configurations to drag and drop into other projects
Multiple projects can run simultaneously
Can save SF1 databases onto a floppy disk for use in other computers running SF1 Engineering Tools software
Connects to SF1s using PHP protocol with either a modem or direct EIA-232 connection
Utilizes up to four ports/modems in host computers and can run up to four Virtual Terminal sessions simultaneously
Ability to download and upload a complete or partial database to a remote SF1
Ability to automatically gather trend data and alarm messages
Uses the Trend Viewer to convert SF1 trend data into comma-delimited format for interfacing with other Windows applications
Displays alarm messages using the Alarm Log
Security management
Extensive on-line help system
